A lot of people have heard about Marc Jacobs’s right? We all know Marc as an adventurous, extravagant, quirky designer that loves to mix feminine and glamour together. We also know that he was the creative director for Louis Vuitton. How many of us actually know the history of Marc Jacobs and the brand that brought together his whole career. "Marc Jacobs was born in New York City in 1963". Marcs parents were working within William Morris talent agency as agents. Marcs biggest inspiration was his grandmother who he was so attached with greatly as he quoted "I always say I lived my life with my grandmother" back in 2005. He first started his career when he entered Parsons School of design which later brought him to Perry Ellis. His first collection was a group a sweaters with polka dots that introduced his brand after he graduated. The brand itself is represented by quirky intricate patterns as well as a large array of bright and neutral colors to give it a bit of glitz and glamor. Price range of the products can vary from $400 to $5000 for apparel, $300 to $22,000 for bags and clutches, $28 to $200 for accessories. The Men’s bags are made out of 100% cow leather and detachable zippers that are located in the front and back. Women’s bags are made out of 50% lamb leather and 50% calf leather with pale gold hardware that add a sleek and sophisticated look. Women’s apparel all consist of intricate shaped lined dresses with hand sewn sequined weaves to add dimension.  Men’s apparel consist of style zipped jackets and playful printed suits that add a quirky look to a man’s wardrobe without losing class. The accessory line that includes iphone cases, watches, and laptop sleeves come in bright colors, stainless steel and gold stones on the hour hands for watches, and playful prints for laptop and iphone cases.

These three brands all have at least one concept that relates to Marcs collections. The colors, prints, and shapes of the clothing of these competitors share a similar relationship to Marcs collection. “For more than 20 years, he has been building his brand of playful andhighly wearable clothes and accessories” which makes this brand one of the most interesting bought brands.
